Junior Accountant

A Junior Accountant is an entry-level accounting professional responsible for managing daily accounting tasks such as posting journal entries, maintaining accounts receivable and payable, preparing financial statements and reports, assisting with payroll processing, and supporting month-end and year-end financial closings. They work under the supervision of senior accountants to help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and contribute to the overall financial efficiency of the organization.

• Posting and processing journal entries for business transactions
• Updating accounts receivable and issuing invoices
• Managing accounts payable and performing reconciliations
• Assisting with balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
• Preparing and submitting weekly or monthly financial reports
• Assisting senior accountants during monthly and yearly financial closings
• Maintaining financial database information for accuracy and availability
• Resolving account discrepancies and supporting audits
