Job Title: Restaurant Captain

Department: Food & Beverage (Restaurant Operations)

Reporting to: General Manager / F&B Manager

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain at Highway Haveli Motels LLP plays a key supervisory role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. The Captain will oversee service staff, ensure top-quality guest experiences, and maintain a high standard of food and beverage service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers and stewards.
• Ensure prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.
• Assist in training new staff and providing ongoing coaching to maintain service standards.
• Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with tact and professionalism.
• Monitor table settings, cleanliness, and overall restaurant hygiene.
• Ensure that staff adhere to grooming and uniform standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
• Upsell menu items and promote special offers or seasonal dishes.
• Prepare shift schedules and manage staff duties during shifts.
• Maintain inventory of service items and assist with ordering supplies when required.
• Report daily operations and feedback to the Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory role in restaurant service.
• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures.
• Fluency in English and Hindi; regional languages are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and customer-oriented approach.

Working Conditions:

• Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit to stand for long hours and perform light lifting when necessary.
