Job Description

Location: Pune (On-site preferred)

Reporting to: CEO

Team Size to Manage: 1–2 HR Executives initially

Company Size: ~100 employees across 6+ offices in India

Industry: Compliance Tech / Legal Services / eCommerce Support


Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to build and manage our Human Resource function from the ground up. This is a leadership role focused on designing systems for hiring, retention, payroll, appraisals, training, and culture as we scale rapidly.


Key Responsibilities:

🧑‍💼 Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Design and execute end-to-end hiring plans for tech, ops, sales, and admin teams.


Set up hiring SOPs and manage relationships with recruitment vendors.


🧾 HR Operations & Compliance

Handle employee documentation, HRMS setup, attendance tracking, and payroll coordination with Finance.


Ensure compliance with statutory obligations like PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment, POSH, etc.


📈 Performance & Appraisal Management

Set up KRAs/KPIs in collaboration with department heads.


Manage quarterly/annual reviews and coordinate with leadership for compensation benchmarking.


🧠 Learning & Development

Identify training needs and create skill enhancement programs for executives, team leaders, and managers.


💬 Employee Engagement & Grievance Redressal

Build a culture of performance, transparency, and collaboration.


Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and conflicts.


🧩 Organizational Structuring

Assist in defining and maintaining org charts, reporting lines, and manpower planning.


Qualifications & Requirements:

2–5 years of experience in HR, preferably in high-growth startups or professional services.


Proven experience in setting up HR systems from scratch is a big plus.


Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and compliance.


Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.


MBA in HR or relevant field preferred.
