Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Technical Support:
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues for all hospital departments.
- Troubleshoot IT issues in clinical and non-clinical environments, including diagnostic equipment integrations.
- Support users of Hospital Management Systems (HMS) and other critical healthcare software.
- System and Network Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain hospital IT systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and medical IT hardware.
- Monitor network performance to ensure secure and stable connectivity across the hospital.
- Manage backup systems, ensuring data integrity for patient records and hospital operations.
- Healthcare Application Support:
- Support hospital-specific software such as EMR/EHR systems, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), and laboratory information systems.
- Ensure smooth functioning of telemedicine, billing, and appointment scheduling software.
- Security and Compliance:
- Maintain compliance with healthcare IT security standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Regularly update systems with antivirus, security patches, and hospital IT policies.
- Ensure data protection, secure storage, and restricted access to patient records.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain logs of IT incidents, resolutions, and scheduled maintenance.
- Prepare performance and incident reports for review by hospital administration.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors for procurement, warranty services, and resolving hardware/software issues.
- Evaluate and manage contracts for IT services and solutions.
- Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to hospital staff on IT tools and systems.
- Assist clinical teams with system updates and new technology implementations.
