Job Summary

The Officer – Purchase will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities including vendor negotiation, purchase order processing, supplier coordination, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The role also involves preparing weekly MIS reports, coordinating with internal departments, 3rd‑party machining vendors, and casting suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials and ensuring timely availability of materials required for production and operations.

Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Handling Casting and BOC Suppliers.
  • Raise Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
  • Update and maintain the Rate Masters in the system.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Discuss Internally with the Stores/ Production Department to understand immediate/ plannedrequirements.
  • Prepare MIS Report on WeeklyBasis.
  • Visit suppliers as and when required for evaluations or negotiations.
  • Track and monitor pending orders, delivery schedules, and inventory-related notifications.Basic Qualifications
  • Graduate / Postgraduate in any Discipline.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and write in English & Tamil (Mandatory) and Hindi (Preferable).

Key Competencies

  • Should have work experience in Purchase for 8-10 yrs.
  • Should have knowledge in Casting Purchases and Fabrication / Engineering BOC like couplings, bearings, valves, electrical, PLC items, etc.
  • Should be familiar with working on an ERP System.
  • Should have experience in handling Vendors and negotiation Skills.
  • Goal Oriented person.

Travel & Work Requirements

  • Should have a Two-Wheeler for local travel and supplier visits.
  • Must have own means of daily commute; no company transport facility is available.
  • Travel is required on a need basis.
