Experience: 2–4 Years (Solar industry preferred)

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager with prior exposure to the solar / renewable energy sector. The candidate will be responsible for procurement of solar project materials such as modules, inverters, structures, cables, and electrical components while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement & Vendor Managements
• Handle end-to-end procurement for rooftop and ground-mount solar projects
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors and suppliers
• Maintain strong relationships with OEMs and distributors
• Compare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and track order status

Material Planning & Coordination:

• Coordinate with Project, Design & Execution teams for material requirements
• Prepare BOQ-based procurement planning
• Ensure timely availability of materials at project sites
• Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory

Cost Control & Documentation:

• Achieve cost reduction through effective negotiation and market research
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and agreements
• Verify invoices and coordinate with accounts for payment processing
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies

Technical Understanding:

• Procure solar components such as:
• Solar Modules
• Inverters
• Mounting Structures
• DC/AC Cables
• Earthing & Lightning Protection
• Electrical Panels & Accessories

Required Skills:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of solar materials specifications and standards
• Ability to read BOQ and technical specifications
• ERP / Excel / Purchase documentation handling
• Planning, coordination, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in solar EPC company
• Engineering or technical background preferred
• Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
• Key Performance Indicators (KPI)Cost saving in procurement
• On-time material delivery
• Vendor performance management
• Project support without delay
