Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile, tech-savvy professional to join our team as an Accountant cum Office Assistant. This hybrid role requires a sharp mind for numbers and a proactive approach to office operations. The ideal candidate isn't just proficient in traditional accounting software like Tally ERP; they are also an early adopter of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial & Accounting Management

  • Maintain accurate financial records using Tally ERP.
  • Manage Accounts Payable/Receivable and ensure timely invoicing and collections.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets and P&L statements.
  • Handle bank reconciliations, GST filings, and TDS compliance.
  • Process payroll and manage petty cash records.

2. Advanced Office & Data Operations

  • Utilize MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas) to generate detailed financial reports and data visualizations.
  • Manage digital filing systems and ensure all office documentation is organized and secure.
  • Draft professional emails, memos, and reports with high attention to detail.

3. Digital Strategy & AI Integration

  • AI Implementation: Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or specialized accounting AI) to draft correspondence, summarize lengthy reports, and troubleshoot Excel formulas.
  • Web Proficiency: Conduct efficient web research for market trends, vendor comparisons, and regulatory updates.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual office tasks using modern software integrations.

4. General Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day office maintenance and supply procurement.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Act as a point of contact for vendors, clients, and internal departments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Accounting Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Tally ERP and standard accounting principles.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Advanced MS Excel skills are non-negotiable.
  • General computer troubleshooting and hardware familiarity.
  • The AI Edge: Proven ability to use AI prompt engineering to increase productivity (e.g., using AI for data cleaning, email drafting, or research).
  • Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal) with a professional demeanor.
  • Soft Skills: Extreme attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a "problem-solver" mindset.
