Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Floor Manager who understands bakery production and can manage the daily operations of our factory making breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked products.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management

  • Supervise daily production of breads, cakes, pastries, and other bakery items
  • Ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Monitor staff productivity and manage work allocation on the floor

Quality Control

  • Ensure all products leaving the factory meet our quality and taste standards
  • Check finishing, packaging, and presentation before dispatch
  • Maintain consistency across batches and recipes

Hygiene & Food Safety

  • Maintain strict cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Ensure staff follow proper grooming, uniforms, gloves, hairnets, etc.
  • Implement and monitor sanitation practices in the kitchen and packaging area

Inventory & Raw Materials

  • Track daily usage of ingredients and packaging materials
  • Coordinate with purchasing team for stock requirements
  • Reduce wastage and manage proper storage of ingredients

Team Management

  • Supervise bakery staff and helpers on the production floor
  • Train staff in correct production methods and hygiene practices
  • Maintain discipline, attendance, and smooth team coordination

Process & Efficiency

  • Improve production workflow and reduce delays
  • Ensure recipes and production methods are followed correctly
  • Identify ways to improve speed without compromising quality

Dispatch & Packaging

  • Ensure all orders are packed correctly and dispatched on time
  • Coordinate with delivery team and stores for daily orders
  • RequirementsExperience working in a bakery production environment (cakes/breads)
  • Good understanding of bakery processes, ingredients, and baking equipment
  • Strong team management and supervision skills
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and quality standards
  • Ability to handle production pressure and deadlines
  • Bonus Skills (Preferred)Experience in large-scale bakery production
  • Knowledge of inventory tracking and production planning
  • Ability to suggest process improvements
