We are a growing women’s ethnic wear brand specializing in stylish, comfortable, and trend-driven kurtis. Our collections are sold primarily through e-commerce platforms, and we focus on delivering high-quality designs with strong commercial appeal.

We are looking for a talented and responsible Fashion Designer who can independently handle the complete design process and play a key role in shaping our upcoming collections.

Role Overview

As the sole Fashion Designer in our team, you will be responsible for developing original, market-relevant kurti designs from concept to production. This role requires a balance of creativity, trend awareness, and strong technical knowledge of garment construction.

You will work closely with sampling, production, and sourcing teams to ensure smooth execution of designs that are both beautiful and production-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Research trends, colors, fabrics, prints, and silhouettes in women’s ethnic wear

✔ Develop seasonal and ongoing kurti collections aligned with brand aesthetics

✔ Create detailed design sketches, specifications, and tech packs

✔ Select suitable fabrics, trims, embroideries, laces, and surface techniques

✔ Coordinate with the sampling team to develop prototypes

✔ Conduct fit sessions and make necessary corrections

✔ Ensure designs are practical for bulk production and aligned with costing

✔ Work with vendors for fabric sourcing, printing, and embroidery developments

✔ Maintain design timelines and meet collection deadlines

✔ Study market demand, online trends, and competitor products

Required Skills & Qualifications

🎓 Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design (Preferred but not mandatory with strong experience)

🧵 Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and finishing

✏ Ability to create clear design sketches (hand or digital)

💻 Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / CorelDRAW

👗 Proven experience in women’s ethnic wear (kurtis experience highly preferred)

🧠 Ability to independently manage the entire design function

📊 Strong sense of what sells in the e-commerce fashion market

🗣 Good coordination skills with production and vendor teams
