Visual Merchandiser — Sambhav Studio, Surat, Gujarat

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join Sambhav Studio. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining compelling in-store displays that reflect our brand identity, highlight our saree and textile collections, and create an immersive shopping experience for our customers — both retail walk-ins and wholesale visitors.

Salary

Mid-level (2–5 years experience): ₹20,000 – 25,000 per month Final salary based on experience, portfolio, and skill assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute in-store display setups for sarees, fabrics, and seasonal collections
• Create visually appealing window displays, mannequin styling, and counter arrangements that attract customers
• Coordinate with the sales and branding team to align displays with ongoing promotions and campaigns
• Regularly refresh and rotate displays to keep the showroom look current and engaging
• Ensure consistent brand presentation across both retail and wholesale sections of the store
• Manage props, hangers, mannequins, signage, and display materials efficiently
• Monitor customer movement and feedback to optimise product placement and display impact
• Assist in planning and executing display setups for exhibitions, trade shows, and special events
• Maintain inventory of display materials and raise purchase requests as needed
• Photograph displays for social media, catalogue, and internal documentation

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in textiles, fashion, or retail
• Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication, or related field preferred
• Strong sense of colour, aesthetics, and spatial arrangement
• Knowledge of fabric types, saree draping styles, and textile presentation is a strong advantage
• Proficiency in basic design tools (Canva, CorelDRAW, or similar) is a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with sales and branding teams
• Physical ability to set up and rearrange displays, including working with props and fixtures
• Good communication skills in Hindi and/or Gujarati
