Fitter

Job Summary:

The Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components and equipment as per technical specifications and safety standards. The role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, using appropriate tools, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Assemble, install, align, and fit mechanical parts, components, and structures.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on machinery and equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify faults or potential issues.
• Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, welding (if required) and other fabrication activities.
• Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and finishing of components.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Document work performed and report issues to supervisors/engineers.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.
