Laboratory Technician

Calibration Lab Technician

Qualification:

• B.Sc. (Physics / Chemistry / Electronics / Instrumentation) OR
• Diploma (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical)

Experience:

• Fresher or 1–3 years’ experience in calibration / testing laboratory
• Freshers will be trained as per lab SOPs

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform calibration and testing of:
• Weighing scales (Class III – 150 kg)
• Thermometers
• BP monitors
• Energy meters
• Gas meters

• Follow approved calibration procedures and SOPs in line with NABL / ISO 17025 requirements.
• Prepare and maintain calibration worksheets, logbooks, and test records.
• Assist in preparation, review, and issue of calibration certificates.
• Handle and maintain reference standards and calibration equipment.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory environmental conditions.
• Support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate with senior technical staff for technical reviews and approvals.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of measurement principles and instruments.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).
• Attention to detail, discipline, and willingness to learn.

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

• Experience in NABL / ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
• Exposure to weighing, temperature, electrical, or pressure measurements.
