Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Technical Trainer

Reporting To: Head – Technical Training / Learning & Development

Job Purpose: To design, develop, and deliver high-quality technical training programs in Mechanical Engineering for AMNS's workforce—including apprentices, fresh recruits, and experienced employees. The role aims to build technical proficiency in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical systems used in a modern steel manufacturing environment.

• Key Responsibilities:1. Training Program Design & Development Develop and update comprehensive training modules, lesson plans, and course materials on topics such as hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, welding, fabrication, mechanical maintenance, and machinery diagnostics.
• Integrate practical exercises, simulations, and real-world case studies tailored to AMNS plant operations.
• Ensure training aligns with company operational standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
• 2. Training Delivery Deliver engaging classroom sessions, hands-on workshops, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for varied groups of employees.
• Simplify complex mechanical engineering concepts for practical understanding.
• Supervise practical demonstrations and ensure hands-on competency development.
• 3. Assessment & Evaluation Create and administer theoretical and practical assessments, quizzes, and evaluations to measure learning outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback and monitor trainee progress.
• Review and improve training effectiveness based on feedback and performance data.
• 4. Mentoring & Coaching Act as a mentor for trainees, offering guidance, support, and motivation.
• Address individual learning needs through personalized coaching and support.
• 5. Curriculum & Infrastructure Management Maintain and manage training tools, equipment, and facilities to meet current industry and operational standards.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies, mechanical systems, and best practices in the steel manufacturing sector.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and production teams to identify skill gaps and customize training accordingly.
• 6. Documentation & Reporting Keep accurate records of attendance, trainee progress, assessments, and certifications.
• Generate regular reports on training outcomes, effectiveness, and improvements.
• Desired Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 7–10 years in mechanical maintenance, production, or technical training within the manufacturing or steel industry.
• Certifications: Training certifications (optional but preferred).
• Key Skills:
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating machinery, etc.).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to design engaging training content with practical relevance.
• Hands-on skills in mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures in manufacturing.
• Good interpersonal and mentoring abilities.
• Work Environment:
• Primarily on-site, involving classroom, workshop, and shop-floor-based training sessions.
