Metallurgist – ISO & Jewellery Manufacturing Research Expert

We are looking for an experienced Metallurgist with strong expertise in ISO standards and jewellery manufacturing research. The candidate will be responsible for metal analysis, process improvement, quality compliance, and R&D activities related to precious and non-precious metals used in jewellery production.

• Key ResponsibilitiesConduct metallurgical research and testing on precious metals (gold, silver, platinum) and alloys.
• Lead metal research projects to improve quality, strength, finish, and production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and support certification, audits, and documentation.
• Develop and validate new alloys and manufacturing processes for jewellery applications.
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations on metal defects.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize casting, forming, and finishing processes.
• Maintain detailed research reports, SOPs, and quality documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Stay updated on latest metallurgy techniques and jewellery industry innovations.
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s / Master’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ISO systems (ISO 9001 preferred).
• Proven experience in jewellery manufacturing or precious metal research.
• Expertise in metal testing, alloy development, and material characterization.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment and quality tools.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• PreferredExperience in R&D within jewellery or precious metals industry.
• Knowledge of casting, refining, and surface treatment processes.
