Job Description
- Telling each worker what to do at the start of the shift.Teaching new workers how to use the machines safely.Making sure everyone is working well and following the rules.
- Ensuring the factory makes the right number of products by the end of the day.If a machine breaks down or materials run out, they find a way to fix it quickly so work doesn't stop.
- Deciding who works on which machine and when they take breaks.Looking at the finished products to make sure they aren't broken or damaged.
- Enforcing strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols to prevent workplace accidents.
- Maintaining accurate logs and documentation for audits, including waste management and environmental standards.
- Monitoring labor costs (including overtime) and reducing waste to stay within the department budget.
- Tracking raw materials and semi-finished goods to prevent shortages that could stall production.
