Job Description

The applicant will be responsible for empowering teachers to help them grow, improve and facilitate their classroom experience better via books and other learning solutions. Being part of Universal Books' core and foundation team, the Area Sales Representative is part of the Sales team and will be required to build a lasting relationship, understand the needs and problems of teachers and students and help them become better educators.


Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Connect with schools, institutes, coaching, and educators and understand their needs and growth aspects.
  2. Pitch Universal Books B2B products in the assigned territory
  3. Cultivate relationships with key personnel to convert customer problems into sales opportunities. Investigate and become proficient with the internal business processes of these institutes.
  4. Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to all the key stakeholders.
  5. Follow the sales process and update the CRM system to track sales progress. Update pipeline and forecasting information on a frequent basis.
  6. Manage school conversion, sampling, and order process.
  7. Work closely with the head office team and management.
  8. Comfortable traveling to visit and meet school management as and when required
  9. Gains familiarity with the Education and the Ed-Tech industry, and stay updated on trends and innovative products
  10. Have a consultative approach to understanding and solving customer needs and problems
