Job SummaryThe Senior Admission Counselor is responsible for driving student admissions through effective counseling, lead conversion, and relationship management. This role requires a strategic approach to admissions, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide prospective students in choosing the right academic programs aligned with their career goals.
Key Responsibilities1. Student Counseling & Conversion
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding courses, career opportunities, and industry scope.
- Understand student needs and recommend suitable programs.
- Handle walk-ins, inquiries, and follow-ups to achieve admission targets.
- Convert leads into confirmed admissions through structured counseling techniques.
2. Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Manage leads generated through digital campaigns, events, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Conduct timely follow-ups via calls, emails, and messages.
3. Admission Process Management
- Guide students through the complete admission process including documentation and fee collection.
- Ensure all admission procedures comply with institutional policies.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative teams for smooth onboarding.
4. Team Leadership & Support
- Mentor and guide junior admission counselors.
- Monitor team performance and assist in achieving overall admission targets.
- Share best practices and improve counseling effectiveness.
5. Marketing & Outreach Support
- Participate in seminars, workshops, school visits, and education fairs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team for campaigns and promotional activities.
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, and referral partners.
6. Reporting & Analysis
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly admission performance.
- Prepare reports on lead conversion, inquiry trends, and target achievement.
- Suggest improvements based on data insights.

- Strong sales and negotiation abilities

- Good knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (MBA/PGDM preferred)
- 3–6 years of experience in admissions, education counseling, or sales
- Experience in the education or training sector preferred
