Job Description

The Site Engineer - AFC will be responsible for supervising and managing the installation, testing, and commissioning of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems in metro projects. This role requires a professional with a strong engineering background, hands-on experience in AFC systems, and a focus on quality, safety, and timely project delivery. The candidate will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of AFC systems.

Job Duties:

 

• Oversee day-to-day activities related to the installation and commissioning of AFC systems at the site.
• Ensure all AFC works are executed as per project plans, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve site-related AFC issues.
• Ensure timely availability of resources, materials, and equipment for uninterrupted site operations.
• Supervise the installation of AFC equipment, including ticket vending machines, gates, validators, and backend systems.
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of AFC systems to ensure proper functionality and integration.
• Conduct inspections and ensure that all AFC activities meet the required quality standards.
• Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in AFC works.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
• Conduct regular safety audits and address any hazards or risks identified.
• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for submission to senior management.
• Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and resolve any engineering-related challenges on-site.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation related to AFC systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Engineering (Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical/Mechanical or related field).

Additional Information

• Minimum 6 years of total professional experience, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in metro projects focused on AFC systems.
• Hands-on experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of AFC systems in large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
