Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations, performance, and profitability of the store. This includes sales growth, customer experience, staff management, inventory control, and daily operational excellence. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader with retail experience and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

Ensure smooth daily store functioning.

Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and product displays.

Monitor opening and closing procedures.

Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

2. Sales & Customer Service

Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs

Train team members on product knowledge and customer handling.

Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.

Implement strategies to improve footfall and conversion rates.

3. Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and mentor store staff.

Prepare duty rosters and manage staff attendance.

Conduct performance reviews and skill-development sessions.

Motivate the team to deliver high service standards.

4. Inventory & Stock Management

Maintain accurate stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.

Coordinate with the warehouse and suppliers for timely replenishment.

Conduct regular stock audits and maintain documentation.

Prevent pilferage and ensure proper storage of goods.

5. Reporting & Administration

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.

Monitor store expenses and control operational costs.

Handle billing, cash management, and banking as per guidelines.

Track competitor activities and market trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in retail.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Good understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

Knowledge of POS systems, MS Office, and basic reporting.

Graduation preferred (any stream).
