Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Execution: You will be responsible for meticulously planning, scheduling, and executing various merchandising projects to ensure timely delivery of quality products to the market.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Your role involves identifying challenges in the supply chain, production, or market demands and making critical decisions to address them effectively.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with design, production, marketing, and sales teams to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to product development and distribution.
• Leadership and Mentorship: As a leader in merchandising, you may guide and mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and enhancing team performance.
• Process Improvement and Innovation: Continuously drive innovation and process improvements in merchandising operations to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
• Technical or Customer-Facing Responsibilities: Engage in technical tasks such as analysing market trends, conducting customer surveys, or presenting products to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in merchandising software, data analysis tools, supply chain management systems, trend forecasting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience Level: 3+ years of experience in textile merchandising, knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, and experience with global sourcing.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability to fast-paced environments, leadership qualities, and attention to detail.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of textile regulations, market trends, competitor analysis, and product lifecycle management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in leading merchandising teams in multinational corporations.
• Holding certifications in Textile Merchandising, Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management.
• Familiarity with AI tools for trend analysis and automation in merchandising processes.
• Demonstrated experience in scaling textile operations across different markets.
• Participation in textile industry conferences, speaking engagements, or published articles.
• Proficiency in additional foreign languages for global business interactions.
