We are a 15+ years old, reputed and leading Investment Advisory firm specialising in the Debt Market and Money Market. Our organisation is known for professionalism, strong client relationships, and deep understanding of fixed income markets.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Business Development Officer / Executive whose primary responsibility will be identifying potential clients, explaining company services, converting prospects into clients, and completing the onboarding process.
This role is purely client acquisition focused, after which clients are handed over to the Client Relationship Manager (CRM) for ongoing servicing.
- Working Details:
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Working Hours: 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM
- Language Proficiency Required:
- Marathi
- Hindi
- English + other language welcome
- Educational Qualification:Graduate in Commerce / Finance / Marketing
- Key Responsibilities:
- The newly joined candidate will be assigned a specific geographical area / client segment for business development.
- Adequate training will be provided before independently approaching clients.
- Identify and search for potential clients through cold calling, references, field visits, and market mapping.
- Approach prospective clients and explain company services related to Debt and Money Market products.
- Handle initial client discussions over the phone and through personal meetings.
- Understand client requirements and convert prospects into active clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth client onboarding (documentation, KYC, account opening).
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and regular follow-ups.
- Build initial client trust and ensure a smooth handover to the Client Relationship Manager after onboarding.
- Identify active players in the industry and assess their investment interests.
- Keep track of basic market developments such as interest rate direction and major regulatory announcements to support discussions.
- Maintain proper records of leads, meetings, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Ensure ethical selling practices and adherence to company policies.
- Skills & Competencies Required:Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good influencing and negotiation abilities
- Ability to approach and convert new clients
- Target-oriented and self-driven mindset
- Willingness to travel within assigned area
- Basic understanding of Debt / Money Market products (training will be provided)
