Job Description: Facility Manager

• Oversee building operations: Ensure that buildings and their services meet the needs of employees, including maintenance, cleaning, and security. Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
• Manage maintenance: Supervise repair work, monitor system performance (like HVAC), and manage inventory for parts.
• Ensure safety and compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all safety regulations and can involve managing security and emergency preparedness. Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
• Handle finances: Create and manage budgets, control costs, and manage capital investment planning.
• Manage vendors and contracts: Oversee contracts with vendors for services like landscaping or maintenance. Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
• Plan and manage space: Handle space management, workplace design, and office moves.
• Strategic planning: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the facility to improve efficiency and support organizational goals.

• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Facility management software proficiency

Preferred qualifications
