Oracle PCA and Exadata Infrastructure Specialist

Infrastructure specialist- Oracle PCA & Exadata support| Thane

1. To provide mid-level operational support for Oracle engineered systems - specifically Oracle Private Cloud Appliance (PCA) and Oracle Exadata. 
2. The role ensures system reliability, performance, and compliance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and incident resolution.

Managerial Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee Oracle PCA and Exadata infrastructure operations. 
2. Define architecture standards, guide L1/L2 teams, and ensure SLA compliance. 
3. Manage escalations, vendor interactions, and strategic planning for upgrades and DR. 
4. Drive automation, documentation, and audit readiness. 
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Functional Responsibilities:

1. Architect, implement, and maintain Oracle Exadata and PCA infrastructure across production, DR, and test environments.
2. Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and high availability strategies for mission-critical workloads.
3. Design and enforce security, compliance, and audit frameworks across engineered systems.
4. Own patching, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management of Exadata and PCA components.
5. Provide deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues.
6. Collaborate with DBAs, application teams, and network/security teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
7. Automate operational tasks using scripting and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Shell, Python).
8. Mentor L1/L2 administrators and establish SOPs, runbooks, and best practices.
9. Interface with Oracle support and vendors for escalations, roadmap planning, and proactive health checks.
10. Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending enhancements to existing infrastructure.
