Job Description

An insurance sales professional promotes, sells, and renews insurance policies (life, health, property, casualty) by identifying client needs, generating leads through networking or cold calling, and providing expert risk assessment. Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Growth: Identify prospective clients, initiate contact (cold calling, networking, referrals), and sell policies to meet or exceed monthly/yearly targets.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Evaluate clients' risk profiles, financial situations, and needs to recommend appropriate coverage plans.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure retention and high customer satisfaction.
  • Policy Administration: Process applications, manage renewals, and assist with filing or explaining claims.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements. Workable +6

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Licensing: Must possess required state or national licenses (e.g., Life & Health, Property & Casualty).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for negotiations and presentations.
  • Results-Driven: Highly motivated, assertive, and goal-oriented, with a focus on closing sales.
  • Education: Generally a minimum of a high school diploma, though a bachelor's degree is often preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and basic computer skills for record-keeping.
