Position Title: Sales Officer
Department: Sales
Reporting To: Area Sales Manager (ASM) / Dy. ASM
Location: As Assigned
Job Purpose
The Sales Officer is responsible for achieving sales targets within the assigned territory by managing
distributors, expanding market presence, ensuring product availability, and strengthening relationships
with retailers while executing company sales and marketing strategies effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Distribution - Achieve assigned primary and secondary sales targets on a monthly basis. - Manage
distributor operations including order booking, stock availability, and payment follow-ups. - Ensure proper
market coverage through effective route planning and beat execution.
Channel Management - Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and retailers.
- Appoint new retailers and expand distribution in uncovered markets. - Ensure timely collection of
outstanding payments as per company policy.
Market Execution - Implement trade schemes, promotions, and visibility activities in the market. - Ensure
proper placement of products, POS materials, and branding at retail outlets. - Monitor competitor activities
and provide regular market feedback.
Reporting & MIS - Prepare and submit daily sales reports, beat plans, and market feedback reports. -
Maintain accurate sales data and documentation using Excel or company systems.
Coordination & Compliance - Coordinate with internal teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and
Accounts for smooth operations. - Adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and sales processes.
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical / Functional Skills - Field sales and FMCG market exposure - Distributor and retailer handling -
Primary & secondary sales management - Territory and route planning - Basic computer skills (MS Excel,
reporting)

Qualification & Experience
Minimum qualification: Graduate (preferred) / HSC with relevant experience
Experience: 1–5 years in FMCG field sales (Sales Officer / Sales Executive role)
