Senior Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and supporting audits and financial planning. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Ensure accurate accounting of revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and statutory regulations
• Handle tax compliance (GST/VAT, TDS, income tax, withholding tax, etc.)
• Prepare and file statutory returns within deadlines
• Coordinate with auditors and manage internal and external audits

Finance Operations

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
• Monitor cash flow and assist in working capital management
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist in process improvements and internal controls

Coordination & Support

• Liaise with banks, tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities
• Guide and review work of junior accountants
• Support management with financial data and analysis as required
