Job Summary:

We are urgently looking for a Skilled Turner with expertise in internal (ID) and external (OD) threading, and precision turning of bearing sizes as per engineering drawings. The candidate should have hands-on experience operating lathe machines and the ability to work with accuracy and minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  Operate lathe machines to perform precision turning, facing, threading (ID/OD), boring, and other machining operations.

  Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to understand part dimensions and tolerances.

  Perform internal and external threading as per drawing requirements.

  Machine bearing sizes with high accuracy and required surface finish.

  Measure machined parts using Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.

  Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain precision.

  Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of machines.

  Maintain a clean and safe working area.

  Report any machine malfunctions or defects to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements:

  ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Turner trade.

  Proven experience as a Turner, specifically in threading (ID/OD) and precision turning.

  Ability to read and work independently from engineering drawings.

  Skilled in using measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

  Good understanding of machine maintenance and safety practices.

  Strong attention to detail and quality.

Preferred:

  Experience in manufacturing, heavy machining, or maintenance workshops.

  Knowledge of different materials like mild steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel.
