Android Developer

Job Purpose

• We are seeking a skilled and passionate Android Developer to join our dynamic mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mobile application development, with a deep understanding of Android SDK, Kotlin/Java, and modern development tools.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin/Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, and back-end) to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following Android best practices.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Fix bugs and improve application performance.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and frameworks.
• Work with version control tools like Git.
• Optimize code for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI).
• Familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of mobile app testing frameworks and practices (JUnit, Espresso, etc.).
• Proficient understanding of version control systems (Git).
• Experience working on large scale enterprise apps
• Experience working on APM SDK Integrations (Eg Datadog/ Newrelic/Sentry etc)
• Familiarity in Local caching & persistence mechanisms.
• Experience in CMS Integrations ,Push Notifications (FCM)
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers.
• Self-driven, with a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
• Exposure in integration with Crash Analysis SDK’s
• Integrations with Bluetooth Classic /LE Protocols
• Exposure in Mapping Software (Map pins, poly lines, geo fencing etc)
• Experience creating and, managing and debugging long running services
• Exposure in Urban Airship integration.

• Should be willing to work in US Shift timings.
