Senior Mobile Delivery Manager

Job Overview:

As a Senior Delivery Manager in our mobile engineering team, the candidate will have a key role in shaping the future of our Technology and Mobile Applications. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end delivery, client/stakeholder and people/team for execution of large-scale, high-traffic mobile applications using Native and cross platform technologies. He should have proven experience in delivery managing and implementing using modern technologies and industry best practices and ensuring optimal user experiences. He/she will be collaborating with various teams and providing delivery management and oversight across multiple complex projects requiring a deep understanding of software engineering concepts and a commitment to innovation.

Qualifications

  • BE/BTech/MTech/MCA/MBA/MSc from reputed Universities/Institutions
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience managing delivery of large-scale mobile applications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Delivery management and leadership role including managing end to end delivery
  • Desirable Experience in the health insurance sector working with US and European clients managing large teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with larger mobile teams in ensuring development of enterprise mobile applications using Native, hybrid and cross platform technologies, prioritizing scalability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Deliver mobile solutions that conform to industry standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure mobile application solutions are delivered according to customer needs and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Develop delivery frameworks that include key milestones, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
  • Focuses on developing and driving consistent delivery practices, supporting delivery reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting delivery reviews through engagements and support mitigation planning.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to refining delivery processes.
  • Possess a deep understanding of non-functional aspects in mobile app design. Provide innovative solutions to optimize performance, scalability, and other critical factors.
  • Support RFP responses, proposals, solution outlines, and effort estimations.
  • Contribute to shaping new offerings around mobile delivery excellence, app modernization, mobility-managed services, and operational innovation.
  • Guide and manage development teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, design guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Must Have Skills

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Native/cross platform based Mobile App Architectures and Technologies.
  • Proven experience in program managing and delivering highly performant mobile and scalable mobile apps.
  • Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases
  • Task allocation and performance evaluation of team members
  • Project scheduling and resource management
  • Planning, budgeting and reporting on projects
  • Preparation of project status, weekly, monthly and annual reports
  • Communicate with client teams and gather requirements, conduct regular team meetings and track project progress
  • Provide an efficient working atmosphere to project teams and ensure objectives are met within stipulated time
  • A background of working with development best practices.
  • A willingness to be flexible in responding to issues as they occur and the ability to identify product/deployment improvements to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Self-motivated, Strong communication and team building skills.
  • Experience with enterprise mobile application integration.
  • Awareness/Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools for version control and automation.
  • Awareness in publishing Android and iOS apps in app stores.
  • Familiarity with unit testing using frameworks such as Jest and Enzyme.
  • Familiarity with mobile security protocols, analytics, and other SDK integrations.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience in Health Insurance sector and delivery managed such engagements of large to medium team size
  • Demonstrated program management experience in Agile (SCRUM), which includes project planning, execution, risk management, and resource management.
  • CSM (Certified SCRUM Master) or SAFe Agile certification would be desirable.
  • Awareness on Micro Front Ends (MFE), Super Apps, and Module Federation using RE.pack would be an added advantage.
  • solutions with Server Driven UI (SDUI) and Backend for Frontend (BFF) would be a plus.
  • Awareness on Enterprise Mobile Application/Device Management (MAM/MDM) solutions
  • Knowledge of current Emerging technologies like Artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Conversational bots, Machine Learning, AR/VR, Blockchain, Wearables etc. in the context of Mobile application ecosystem would be needed.
  • Awareness on Frontend Libraries/Frameworks: Experience with other libraries or frameworks like Angular or Vue.js might be considered a plus as they can provide a wider perspective.

Leadership/Soft Skills:

  • Possess a well-rounded set of behavioral abilities such as decision-making, risk management, problem-solving, communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and issue anticipation, which are crucial for guiding product and teams to success.
  • Drive architecture and technology decisions for large scale mobile applications.
  • Ability to lead mobile engineering projects through the complete development lifecycle.
  • Have practical technical leadership skills.
