Automobile Service Advisor

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Customer Interaction & Service Reception

• Greet customers and understand their vehicle issues or service needs
• Create a positive first impression of the service department
• Clearly explain service processes, timelines, and costs

2. Vehicle Inspection & Job Card Preparation

• Perform initial inspection of the vehicle (visual/basic check)
• Record customer complaints accurately
• Prepare job cards with detailed service requirements

3. Coordination with Service Team

• Assign work to technicians based on job requirements
• Coordinate with workshop staff to ensure timely completion
• Monitor repair progress and update customers regularly

4. Customer Communication & Follow-up

• Keep customers informed about service status
• Inform about delays or additional work needed
• Conduct follow-up calls after service to ensure satisfaction 

5. Delivery of Vehicle

• Ensure vehicle is properly serviced and cleaned before delivery
• Explain work done and billing details to the customer
• Ensure all complaints are resolved before handover

6. Handling Complaints & Escalations

• Address customer concerns professionally
• Coordinate with management for complex issues
• Ensure quick resolution to maintain customer trust
