Store Assistant

Job Purpose:The Store Assistant will support day-to-day operations of the LPG showroom and godown, ensuring safe handling of LPG cylinders, accurate stock records, smooth customer service, and compliance with safety and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Showroom Responsibilities

• Assist customers with LPG-related queries (new connections, refills, accessories).
• Handle billing, cash/card/UPI payments, and issue receipts.
• Maintain customer records and basic documentation.
• Support daily opening and closing of the showroom.
• Coordinate with delivery staff for refill dispatch and returns.
• Keep the showroom clean, organized, and customer-friendly.

Godown / Store Responsibilities

• Assist in loading and unloading LPG cylinders safely.
• Maintain proper stacking of filled and empty cylinders as per safety norms.
• Track inward and outward movement of cylinders (full / empty / defective).
• Assist in physical stock verification and daily stock registers.
• Report cylinder damages, leakages, or shortages immediately.
• Ensure godown cleanliness and fire safety compliance.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow LPG safety guidelines at all times.
• Use safety equipment (shoes, gloves, etc.) when required.
• Ensure no smoking, flames, or unsafe activities in the godown area.
• Support audits and inspections by oil company or government officials.
• Immediately inform supervisors about safety risks or incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum education: 10th / 12th pass (preferred).
• Basic reading, writing, and simple calculations.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Physically fit to handle cylinders and godown work.
• Basic knowledge of computers or billing systems is an advantage.
• Prior experience in LPG agency / warehouse / store is a plus.
