Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL): Adani Total Gas Limited is a prominent entity in India's energy sector, specializing in the distribution of natural gas. It operates as a joint venture between the Adani Group and TotalEnergies.
ATGL is actively involved in the development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks, supplying Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to domestic, commercial, and industrial users, as well as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to the transport sector. The company has established CGD networks in various regions, including Ahmedabad and Vadodara in Gujarat, Faridabad in Haryana, and Khurja in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, through a consortium with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, ATGL is expanding its services to areas such as Allahabad, Chandigarh, Ernakulam, Panipat, Daman, Dharwad, and Udham Singh Nagar.

JOB PURPOSE
The PNG Operations and Maintenance Lead is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of ATGL's pipeline network. This role oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities, develops and implements strategies to optimize system performance, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. The Lead fosters a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team, manages emergency response plans, and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. By providing strategic direction and operational oversight, the position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the pipeline infrastructure, contributing to the overall operational excellence and reliability of ATGL's gas distribution services.
PNG O&M Lead - O5
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the steel pipeline network, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of gas services.
- Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to optimize the performance and reliability of the pipeline network.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards in all operational activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of the pipeline network.
- Manage emergency response plans and procedures to address any operational disruptions promptly and effectively.
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and oversee comprehensive maintenance programs for the pipeline network to ensure long-term reliability and efficiency.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor the condition of the pipeline and related infrastructure, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers to execute maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Implement best practices in maintenance management, continually improving processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of operations and maintenance professionals, providing clear direction, support, and development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.
- Allocate resources effectively across operational and maintenance activities to ensure optimal team utilization and workload balance.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and communication channels to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and any issues that arise.
- Resolve conflicts and issues within the team promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding operational and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports and updates on operational performance, maintenance activities, and any issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, contractors, and community representatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and consultations to gather input, address concerns, and ensure alignment on operational and maintenance objectives.
- Ensure transparent and effective communication throughout all operational and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with other departments and teams to ensure integrated and efficient operations.
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Develop and manage budgets for operational and maintenance activities, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, including expenditures, forecasts, and variances, providing clear insights to senior management.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or safety.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses for senior management review.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, billing, and financial reconciliation for all operational and maintenance activities.
- Manage contracts and agreements with service providers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement quality management systems and processes to ensure high standards in all operational and maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, learning from past experiences, and implementing best practices.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues or non-conformities.
- Benchmark operational and maintenance performance against industry standards and best practices.
- Foster innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and maintenance effectiveness.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience:
6+ years of experience in pipeline construction operations and maintenance
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the gas distribution, oil and energy, or utilities sectors.
