Job Purpose: This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive condition assessments through analysis such as vibration analysis, thermography, and chemical analysis to optimize equipment performance and proactively address potential issues. This role will also manage reporting, documentation, and budgeting for condition monitoring activities, ensuring the integrity of maintenance strategies and the cost-effective procurement of services.

Lead Condition Based Monitoring Analyst

Equipment Analysis and Monitoring:

Assess condition and performance of rotating equipment through reports of vibration analysis, potential issues in switchyards through thermography data and other equipment through temperature monitoring reports.

Analyse reports from the Chemistry department, including lube oil analysis, and define action items.

Perform detailed diagnostic analysis to identify the root causes of equipment anomalies or failures and proactive maintenance and manage the balancing of systems for optimal performance.

Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for business excellence.

Ensure calibration of condition measurement instruments.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and circulate detailed MIS reports highlighting equipment condition and required action items.

Coordinate with third-party agencies for specialized analysis and report generation.

Record parameters and analyse trial results post Annual Overhaul (AoH) and Capital Overhaul (CoH), sharing insights with concerned departments.

Execute timely and accurate documentation of all condition monitoring data in the MIS system for tracking and analysis.

Maintain historical data and analysis reports pertaining to critical equipment and incidents.

Budget Management:

Prepare the annual budget for materials and services related to condition monitoring.

Raise service Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and prepare Service Entry Sheets (SES) for procurement processes.

Monitor and control expenditures to ensure budget compliance.

Evaluate and select vendors for third-party analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

Business Sustainability:

Implement and follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department.

Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety training.

Conduct training sessions for Condition Monitoring Techniques to enhance team capabilities.

Participate in audits and ensure that all compliance requirements are met and maintained.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging in business excellence initiatives.

Digitization and Automation:

Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.

Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Educational Qualification:

BE/B.Tech or related field.

Work Experience (Range of years):

11+ years of experience in condition monitoring and equipment analysis.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the power generation, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
