Fire Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fire safety procedures and protocols for sites within the power/energy sector
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential fire hazards
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards
• Lead fire safety training and drills for employees to enhance preparedness and response capabilities
• Manage and maintain fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, alarms, and suppression systems
• Respond to fire incidents and emergencies, leading the firefighting and evacuation efforts as required
• Collaborate with external agencies and authorities for emergency response planning and coordination
• Investigate and report on fire incidents, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures

Qualifications

• Fire and safety certificate
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech)
• 5-12 years of experience in fire and safety management, preferably in the power/energy industry
