Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, proactive, and service-oriented Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing front office operations, housekeeping coordination, staff supervision, guest satisfaction, maintenance follow-up, reservations, and overall property performance.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain service quality, ensure operational discipline, solve problems quickly, and support business growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Front Office & Guest Service

Oversee daily front office operations including guest check-in and check-out

Ensure proper room allocation, guest registration, ID collection, and payment handling

Monitor reservations, walk-ins, OTA bookings, no-show updates, and billing accuracy

Ensure guests are properly informed about hotel policies, room details, and checkout timing

Handle guest inquiries, requests, complaints, and escalations professionally

Maintain high guest satisfaction and encourage positive online reviews

Housekeeping & Cleanliness

Supervise housekeeping operations and ensure rooms are clean and guest-ready on time

Monitor cleaning checklists, room inspections, linen movement, and deep cleaning schedules

Ensure common areas, reception, corridors, and surroundings are maintained well

Coordinate quick room turnover after check-out

Staff Supervision

Manage daily staff attendance, shift duties, punctuality, grooming, and discipline

Prepare duty rosters and ensure proper staffing across shifts

Train and guide front office, housekeeping, and support staff on service standards

Monitor staff performance and report issues to management when required

Reservations, Pricing & Occupancy Support

Monitor room inventory, occupancy, and rate updates

Support pricing decisions based on local demand, season, events, and competition

Coordinate group bookings, travel agent bookings, and special stay requests

Ensure reservation systems and internal records are updated correctly

Maintenance & Property Upkeep

Identify maintenance needs and coordinate timely repair work

Monitor essential systems such as AC, Wi-Fi, hot water, pumps, generator, CCTV, and electricals

Ensure preventive maintenance and general upkeep of the property

Inventory & Vendor Coordination

Track housekeeping supplies, room amenities, and operational stock

Prevent shortages by coordinating timely purchase requirements

Report damaged, missing, or low-stock items

Coordinate with vendors for services, repairs, and material supply

Compare quotations and ensure cost-effective purchasing

Reporting & Administration

Maintain operational records, cash records, bills, reports, and internal trackers

Share regular updates with management regarding guest issues, room status, maintenance, staffing, and inventory

Ensure hotel operations follow company procedures and service standards

Perform other duties assigned by management from time to time

Required Skills

Strong leadership and team handling ability

Good communication and guest management skills

Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability

Good knowledge of hotel operations, especially front office and housekeeping

Basic understanding of billing, cash handling, and reservation systems

Ability to coordinate staff, vendors, and day-to-day operations independently

Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and handle guest-facing situations calmly

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field

3 to 5 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role

Experience in budget or mid-scale hotel operations is preferred

Knowledge of English, Hindi, and Kannada is an advantage
