General Description

The Buyer plays a critical role in managing various aspects of crop procurement and warehouse

operations. They are responsible for ensuring efficient commodity handling, maintaining accurate

records, and contributing to market intelligence. This position requires attention to detail, strong

organizational skills, and a deep understanding of agricultural processes.

Locations : Ujjain, Guna, Satna

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Crop Surveys and Estimation:

o Conduct crop surveys to estimate arrivals in the mandi for the upcoming season.

o Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather accurate data on crop quantities and

varieties.

2. Commodity Arrival and Dispatch Operations:

o Manage commodity arrival and dispatch activities at warehouses.

o Ensure proper documentation for incoming and outgoing goods.

o Coordinate with logistics teams to facilitate smooth operations.

3. Data Entry and ERP Synchronization:

o Perform data entry using tablets during various processes (e.g., Weighment Control

Area - WCA, Quality Control Area - QCA, Price Verification - PV).

o Sync data with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for real-time tracking.

4. Quality Assurance:

o Maintain quality standards during crop arrivals and dispatches.

o Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure compliance with specifications.

5. Mandi Returns and Compliance:

o Submit Mandi Returns within the specified time frame.

o Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements related to commodity transactions.

6. Stock Monitoring and Reporting:

o Monitor and maintain stock levels (as per CHR - Commodity Health Report).

o UpdateCompanies’s Stack Cards and prepare CHR at 15-day intervals.

o Generate daily reports, including buying reports, dispatch reports, Daily Operations

Reports (DOR), rake reports, packaging material utilization reports, registers,

fumigation trackers, and rejection reports.

7. Market Intelligence and Reporting:

o Visit the mandi to collect transaction-related data (quantity, price, market trends).

o Provide timely market intelligence to inform decision-making.

8. Registers and Documentation:

o Cross-check all registers maintained at the warehouse entry gate and the Warehouse

Service Provider (WSP) office.

o Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with standard operating procedures

(SOPs).

Educational Qualification Required

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field

Skills Required

 Proficiency in data entry, ERP systems, and documentation.

 Attention to detail

 Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience Required

 Experience in crop procurement, warehouse management, or agribusiness operations.
