An LIC Insurance Agent helps people secure their future by offering suitable life insurance plans. The role includes understanding customer needs, suggesting the right policy, and providing long-term service. This is a flexible, respected, and high-income opportunity suitable for housewives, students, professionals, retirees, and business owners.


🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Prospecting & Lead Generation

Identify potential customers through personal contacts, social media, field activity, and referrals.

Build and maintain a customer database.


2. Understanding Client Needs

Analyze clients' financial goals, family situation, and risk profile.

Suggest suitable LIC plans for protection, savings, retirement, and investment.


3. Policy Presentation & Sales

Explain plan benefits, features, premiums, riders, and bonuses.

Help customers choose appropriate policies.


4. Customer Service

Assist clients in filling proposal forms and documentation.

Support clients with policy servicing: payments, claims, changes, loan facilities, etc.


5. Relationship Building

Maintain long-term relationships with customers.

Work consistently to get referrals from satisfied clients.


6. Professional Development

Attend LIC training sessions, meetings, and workshops to enhance sales skills.

Stay updated about LIC products, new schemes, and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Age: 18 years

Education: Minimum 10th pass (Urban area – 12th pass preferred)

Must pass the IRDAI licensing exam (training provided by LIC)
