Purchase Executive

Job Summary:The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing mechanical and industrial products, components, and services as per company requirements. The role involves coordinating with vendors, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining cost efficiency, and supporting the overall purchase cycle for trading and project-related requirements.

• Key Responsibilities:Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors for mechanical and industrial products.
• Float inquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders as per approved terms.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and material dispatch status.
• Coordinate with stores and accounts for material receipt and invoice clearance.
• Maintain purchase records, price history, and supplier database.
• Assist in developing cost-saving and vendor development strategies.
• Ensure materials comply with required specifications and quality standards.
• Support internal departments (sales, design, production) with purchase-related requirements.
• Handle purchase documentation and filing as per SOP.
• Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of mechanical and industrial products (pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, etc.).
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ERP or purchase management software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple inquiries and suppliers simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
