Job Summary:

Our organization is looking for an experienced IT Specialist to manage and operate SQL Server databases within our ERP system while ensuring robust internet security measures. The selected candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, security enhancements, and IT infrastructure protection. The role requires expertise in database management, cybersecurity, and network security to prevent unauthorized access and ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

SQL Server & ERP System Management

Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases within the ERP system.

Troubleshoot database performance issues and implement optimization techniques.

Perform database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.

Ensure smooth ERP system operations, integration, and security measures.

Implement security protocols for database access control and data protection.

Internet Security & Network Control

Develop, implement, and monitor internet security policies to protect company assets.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations and best practices.

Administer firewalls, VPNs, antivirus software, and network monitoring tools.

Identify and resolve vulnerabilities, security breaches, and cyber threats.

Conduct regular IT security assessments and penetration testing.

Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum [X] years of experience in SQL Server database administration and ERP system management.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and risk mitigation.

Expertise in database optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.

Experience with firewall configurations, network security protocols, and access controls.

Familiarity with compliance standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, CISSP, CEH, or CCNA Security.

Experience with cloud-based database management and cybersecurity frameworks.
