Job Summary:

The Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific department within a retail store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and meeting sales targets. The role demands strong leadership skills, retail knowledge, and a focus on achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Supervision:
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage department staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Foster a positive and productive team environment
• Customer Service:
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns
• Support staff in handling complex customer interactions
• Sales & Targets:
• Monitor and drive department sales performance
• Implement promotional strategies and merchandising plans
• Analyze sales data and report to store management
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain stock levels through accurate ordering and replenishment
• Manage inventory to minimize shrinkage and waste
• Conduct regular stock checks and audits
• Visual Merchandising:
• Ensure displays are appealing and aligned with brand standards
• Coordinate seasonal or promotional changes within the department
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the department
• Comply with company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in a retail supervisory or management role
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Proficiency in using retail management systems and MS Office
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
