Design Engineer

Our client is looking for talented and experienced Design Engineers to join their transformer design team, specializing in Electrical and Mechanical Design.

The roles involve developing innovative, high-performance transformer designs that meet international standards and customer requirements.

Key Requirements:

Design Engineer – Electrical (Transformers):

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 3–5 years in transformer electrical design.

Strong knowledge of IEC / ANSI standards.

Hands-on experience with electrical calculations — winding design, losses, impedance, short-circuit withstand, and temperature rise.

Skilled in preparing technical datasheets, drawings, and design documents.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent electrical design tools.

Ability to interpret customer specifications and support project/tender execution.

Design Engineer – Mechanical (Transformers):

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 3–5 years in transformer mechanical design.

Expertise in tank, cover, radiator, and cooling system design (ONAN, ONAF, etc.).

Experience in structural and thermal calculations.

Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks and preparation of BOMs and assembly drawings.

Strong understanding of material selection, noise, vibration, and oil containment standards.

General Responsibilities (for Both Roles):

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production) to ensure design feasibility and efficiency.

Maintain compliance with international design standards (IEC, ANSI, IS, etc.).

Provide technical support during tendering, order execution, and client review phases.

Prepare and maintain accurate design documentation and reports.

Ensure seamless integration of design requirements across various teams for efficient project execution. 

Engage with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and alignment on project objectives.

Actively participate in internal and external technical discussions, to represent design expertise.
