Lead Buyer Mechanical Static Equipment

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Lead Buyer to oversee the procurement of mechanical static equipment for our EPC power projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sourcing static equipment, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of essential components for our power projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers of mechanical static equipment to secure favorable pricing and terms while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping systems.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analyses to optimize procurement decisions, focusing on value for money and lifecycle costs.
• Contract Negotiation: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring all terms protect the project’s interests and reduce risks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery and integration of static equipment into project schedules.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage complex contracts.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost control and value optimization.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software, SAP /  ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
