Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineer / Diploma with 3+ years experience in sheet metal stampings. Must be able to understand drawings & processes, prepare part cost sheets, do nesting and calculate cutting parameters. Should be proficient in SolidEdge and AutoCAD 2D, and comfortable using ERP, Microsoft Outlook, and other MS tools. Responsible for maintaining master drawings and sending quotations to customers.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in sheet metal stampings / fabrication industry preferred

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
• Proficient in SolidEdge and AutoCAD 2D
• Ability to perform nesting and calculate cutting parameters
• Knowledge of part costing and estimation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other MS Office tools

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost sheets for sheet metal and fabricated parts
• Create, maintain, and control master drawings and technical data
• Perform nesting to optimize material usage and calculate cutting parameters
• Enter costing, drawing, and part data into the ERP system
• Prepare and send quotations to customers
• Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase teams for cost and process validation
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of drawings and quotations
