Job Title: Medical Representative

Department: Sales and Marketing
Reports To: Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Medical Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals. Your primary goal will be to increase product awareness, drive sales, and build strong professional relationships with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Promotion:
- Promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals in your assigned territory.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct product presentations to doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies.
- Organize and attend medical conferences, seminars, and other industry-related events to enhance product visibility.
- Market Development:
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers to increase product usage and recommendations.
- Identify potential customers and market opportunities to expand sales in the assigned area.
- Monitor competitor products and market trends to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Product Knowledge & Training:
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products, therapeutic areas, and competitor offerings.
- Keep up to date with the latest medical research, clinical data, and product information.
- Provide educational information and product support to healthcare professionals.
- Customer Service & Reporting:
- Address customer inquiries and provide after-sales support.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions to management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of sales calls, customer interactions, and product feedback.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with ethical standards, legal regulations, and the company’s policies.
- Promote products in accordance with regulatory guidelines and marketing authorization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Medical Representative or in a sales role within the pharmaceutical industry (1-2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to sales.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
- Skills:Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new medical products and their applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Working Conditions:Full-time position.
- Frequent travel required to visit healthcare professionals and attend medical events.
