Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Safety + NEBOSH / IOSH Certification

• Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor the Project Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management System in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Ensure safe execution of marine and civil construction activities including piling, lifting operations, marine works, excavation, and concrete works.
• Prepare and review Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Method Statements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety awareness training for site personnel.
• Monitor work permits such as hot work, lifting operations, confined space entry, and work at height.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and safety signage across the project site.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, safety records, and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with local authority safety regulations and international safety standards.
• RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects.
• Marine construction project experience preferred (jetty, port, marine structures, piling works).
• Certification such as NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Managing Safely / OSHA is mandatory or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, lifting operations, marine safety, and work-at-height procedures.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to conduct safety training and enforce site safety regulations.
• Preferred SkillsExperience in marine works, barges, lifting operations, and heavy equipment safety.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Experience working on international or remote project sites.
