Job Description

  Job Title: Calibration Manager


 Educational Requirements:

1.  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering) or a related field.

2. Advanced certifications in Calibration or Metrology are a plus.

 Experience Requirements:

1.  Minimum 3 years of experience as a Calibration Engineer.

2.  At least 1 year of experience as a Calibration Coordinator or Manager.

 Knowledge Requirements:

1.  ISO/IEC 17025: Comprehensive understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) standards and their application in calibration laboratories.

2.  Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in calibrating and understanding parameters such as:

  -  Force: Understanding of load cells, force gauges, and related calibration standards.

  -  Hardness: Knowledge of hardness testers (e.g., Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers) and calibration procedures.

  -  Impact: Familiarity with impact testing machines and calibration methods.

  -  Thermal: Proficiency in calibrating temperature sensors, thermocouples, thermal equipment’s and thermal mapping.


 Skill Requirements:

1.  Technical Skills:

  - Ability to guide and perform calibration tasks both in the field and workshop. Also, able to clear third party witness calibration tasks.

  - Proficiency in using calibration tools and software.

  - Strong analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot calibration issues.

2.  Leadership and Management:

  -  Team Leadership: Ability to lead, guide, and motivate calibration engineers and technicians.

  -  Project Management: Capable of managing calibration projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

3.  Communication Skills:

  -  Customer Coordination: Effective communication with customers to understand their requirements and provide updates.

  -  Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure calibration standards and tools are maintained.

  -  Team Coordination: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any challenges.

4.  Soft Skills:

  -  Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  -  Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve calibration-related issues.

  -  Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure precision in calibration tasks.

5.  Organizational Skills:

  - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  - Strong documentation skills to maintain calibration records and compliance with standards.
