Server Engineer (Windows & Hardware Specialist)

Key Responsibilities

Server & Hardware Management

• Install, configure, and maintain HP, Dell, and Lenovo servers.
• Install and manage enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS).
• Perform RAID configuration, firmware updates, hardware diagnostics, and part replacements.
• Troubleshoot hardware components including disks, memory, controllers, and network interfaces.

Datacenter Operations

• Manage DataCenter activities such as rack mounting, cabling, power management, and asset documentation.
• Monitor server and storage health and perform preventive maintenance.
• Ensure hardware performance and system stability.

System & OS Support

• Install and support Windows Server operating systems.
• Provide support for hardware-level performance issues and system upgrades.
• Assist with basic virtualization setup and server deployments.

OEM Coordination

• Coordinate with OEM support teams (HPE, Dell, Lenovo) for warranty support, hardware replacements, and RMA cases.
• Maintain proper service records and documentation.

Support Availability

• Provide 24/7 infrastructure support as per organisational requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in server hardware and system engineering.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of server architecture, RAID, disks, memory, NICs, and controllers.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage systems.
• Familiarity with server management tools such as:
• HPE iLO
• Dell iDRAC
• Lenovo XClarity
• Strong Windows Server troubleshooting and administration skills.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Experience working with OEM support teams.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 support model.
