Plumbing Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Plumbing Installation Supervision

• Supervise installation of all plumbing and sanitary fixtures, pipelines, valves, pumps and related systems.
• Ensure execution as per approved shop drawings, specifications and local plumbing codes.
• Monitor piping layouts for water supply, drainage, rainwater harvesting and fire-fighting systems.

Workforce Management

• Direct and manage teams of plumbers, helpers and subcontracted plumbing vendors.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity and ensure workmanship meets required standards.
• Maintain discipline, attendance and basic training on safety and plumbing procedures.

Coordination

• Coordinate with civil, electrical and HVAC teams to avoid conflicts and ensure integrated services routing.
• Communicate material requirements and schedule needs to the MEP Engineer or Project Manager.
• Support installation of plumbing systems in sync with finishing and structural activities.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Conduct or supervise water pressure tests, leakage checks and system performance trials.
• Inspect installation quality and raise any non-compliance to MEP engineers.
• Ensure all plumbing work is snag-free and aligned with project specifications.

Material Management

• Oversee handling, storage and issuance of plumbing materials such as pipes, valves, fittings, pumps and sanitary fixtures.
• Prevent material wastage and monitor stock availability to avoid delays.
• Submit daily/weekly material requirement updates to procurement/stores team.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce proper use of PPE and ensure adherence to site safety protocols.
• Monitor hazardous activities like working at heights, confined space entries (e.g., tanks, sumps).
• Ensure work follows environmental and plumbing codes (including backflow prevention and drainage norms).

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily progress reports (DPRs), installation checklists and testing logs.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and system layout markings.
• Report work status and issues to MEP Engineer regularly.
