Job Title:

Government Sector Furniture Marketing Executive


Job Overview:

A Government Sector Furniture Marketing Executive is responsible for promoting and selling furniture to government offices, public institutions, and other government-funded organizations. This role involves identifying government tenders, building relationships with procurement officers, and ensuring compliance with government purchase policies.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Lead Generation:


Identify and target government offices, municipal corporations, schools, hospitals, and defense institutions for furniture supply.


Build relationships with government procurement officers and decision-makers.


Stay updated with government procurement policies and guidelines.


Tender & Bidding Management:


Track and apply for government tenders related to furniture supply.


Prepare proposals, quotations, and competitive bids for tenders.


Ensure compliance with government procurement regulations and documentation requirements.


Sales & Marketing Strategies:


Develop marketing strategies tailored for the government sector.


Attend government trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.


Conduct presentations and demonstrations for government officials.


Product Knowledge & Consultation:


Understand and present the features, benefits, and durability of office, modular, laboratory, and hospital furniture.


Suggest customized solutions based on government department needs.


Negotiation & Deal Closure:


Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with government authorities.


Ensure smooth execution of agreements and timely delivery of furniture.


Relationship Management & After-Sales Support:


Maintain long-term relationships with government clients for repeat business.


Provide after-sales service, handle complaints, and coordinate maintenance as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.


Experience: 2+ years in B2B or government sector sales (Furniture industry experience is a plus).


Skills:


Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and e-tendering.


Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.


Ability to prepare tender documents and price quotations.


Proficiency in MS Office and online bidding platforms (GeM, eProcurement portals).


Other Requirements:


Willingness to travel to government offices and departments.


Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
