Job Title: Retail Pharmacist (Licensed)

Job Summary:- We are seeking a licensed Retail Pharmacist to manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medicines, and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements. The pharmacist will be responsible for prescription handling, patient counseling, inventory control, and overall pharmacy compliance.

• Key Responsibilities :-Dispense prescription and OTC medicines accurately as per prescriptions
• Verify prescriptions for legality, dosage, and drug interactions
• Counsel customers on medicine usage, dosage, side effects, and precautions
• Maintain and operate the pharmacy under a valid pharmacy license
• Ensure compliance with Drug & Cosmetics Act and local pharmacy regulations
• Maintain proper records (purchase, sale, schedule drugs, invoices)
• Manage medicine storage, expiry checks, and stock rotation
• Coordinate with doctors, distributors, and suppliers
• Supervise pharmacy staff (if any)
• Handle billing software, POS systems, and basic computer operations
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and professional standards in the pharmacy

• Mandatory Requirements:-
• Valid Pharmacy License (Retail Drug License in own name or authorized)
• D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution
• Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council
• Sound knowledge of retail pharmacy laws and compliance

• Preferred Skills:-
• Strong customer handling and communication skills
• Knowledge of branded and generic medicines
• Ability to manage inventory and vendors
• Basic computer literacy (billing & inventory software)
• Experience with insurance/online orders is an advantage

• Experience:-
• Minimum 1 year experience in a retail pharmacy preferred
• Experienced pharmacy owners/pharmacists encouraged to apply
